Grey Day, Black Mood

It’s been a year in which I’ve seen many friends and relatives lose their loved ones or suffer long, serious illnesses. While I’ve counted my blessings and said innumerable thanks to the Lord, I’ve often been pulled down and felt deflated.

Another day, another gust
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
When it’s time, go we must
But must it be now and must it be thus?
