This is a word from the Dutch, without an exact English translation, but which means
“the anticipatory excitement before something happens.”
As ABBA put it so many years ago in their song,
β¦a sense of expectation hanging in the air
giving out a spark
across the room your eyes are glowing in the dark
and here we go again, we know the start, we know the endβ¦
Good one!

I love to have fun… So you can say…. I feel it all the time!!!!!!! Except when I am sleeping!!! ππ( sorry, bad joke)…. Don’t mind please
P.S. May be you don’t know, but please don’t say thanks… I really don’t like it if anyone thank me for anything. I know that sounds weird… but yeah! that’s just me!!!

Yes, we want it all, seldom do we get it. Thank you, Chevvy!

Then at least enjoy the anticipationπ BTW, your definition includes the title of a poem I’ve just written – haven’t posted yet.

BTW, is it also a word in Afrikaans?

Well Afrikaans originates from Dutch. In Afrikaan “Voor” means before and “Pret” means fun. So put together, it will be similar in meaning.

This feeling is truly more sensational than the happening itself.
