Inspired by one of Kālidāsa‘s (considered among Sanskrit’s greatest poets) most famous masterpieces, here’s my 21^st century English version, with creative license.

Apres Le Deluge

It started slow.

Summer skies, dry season.
A few drops.
Leading to a drizzle.
And then a downpour.
