About

No illustrious family name
No Harvard heritage or Kennedy-esque pedigree
Not endowed with a body like Schwarznegger
Nor a face like Brad Pitt
No Einstein-ian IQ
Or the acumen of a Bill Gates
No soaring ambition or enterprise
No sense of adventure a la Cousteau
Courage far less than Neil Armstrong
Or Sir Edmund Hillary
Not eloquent at speeches
Nor brilliant criminal mind
Lacking in the patience of a monk to meditate upon a mountain
No billions inherited from the Trump
No trophy wife
Nor villa in St Tropez have I been bequeathed
Neither princeling, rake, knave nor rogue
Reticent, romantic, roamer am I
Everyday bloke, an average Joe
But blessed by the Lord above
With a single gift come late to light
To craft words
Which weave a web

  2. What does namaste mean? I take yoga and that’s what the instructors say at the end of a session. I like your modesty. I consider myself as one also. People who have known me for more than 20 years were surprised by my education and experience. To me they don’t define me, so it doesn’t matter. What I am doing right now matters. I will take time to go through your blog. 🙂

    1. Namaste is a traditional Indian/Hindu greeting with folded palms. I’m not sure of it’s exact Sanskrit meaning ( ‘I bow to you’, perhaps? ), Google will help you better. But it’s used as a “hi” and well as a “bye”.
Thanks for stopping by and ditto, I’ll be going through yours, too

  3. Hi, Kunal. I like your poetry in its many levels. I also think the header has a great photo. Love it’s mood and the heart-shaped leaf, still with color, on the corner portion of the stormwater grate. Hmmm, I sense a poem with that…

    1. Lulia, I couldn’t be more grateful to you, nor more honoured. But – and I say this with full respect – may I decline? I write simply for my pleasure, not recognition. Your merely reading and appreciating is more than I deserve. So thank you, and sorry!

    1. Hi, Trevor! So the origin of the surname is the same in all 3 cases, I think from the old landowning class. But Tagore was a Bengali, my folks are from Gujarat. And I cannot be compared to the great wordsmith that he was! So, same same but very different different. 😊
Thanks for coming by & taking the time to comment! Cheers & have a nice day!

  6. Hmmm,
    Comparison.
    A lot of comparison..
Comparitive life is a consecutive series of desirous life.

(Your) Thoughts seems to be water flowing in the ocean. A cyclic process.
