gangaFEELING THE FLOW

The river
She runs through my veins
And as she courses through my heart
Traversing the chambers
Cleanses it
With her benign properties
Washes it out
With all that she stands for

THE ROCK IN THE RIVER

I am the rock
in the middle of the river
amid rushing rapids
and deep currents
unaffected, steadfast
anchored to the bed

Her waters washing me
as they run over my surface
silently moulding me
smoothening rough edges
soaking me and refreshing me
with her chaste divinity

      1. i am in total agreement! my poetry is often inspired by my encounters with a place. this was very moving, the earth of your heart poured out in every line – well done!

  1. a flow that cleanses, divinity indeed; will the ‘steadfast’ mould so much as to, one day, become the flow itself…. methinks aloud 😇
