Moments Last For Ever

And so she has me in her thrall again

That vision in white vestments

Earrings and a glow to boot

Wisp of hair twirling below lobe

Neck shimmering

Twilight approaches

As I take her hand

Fair maiden into the dusk

Of wine we share

And tidbits of conversation

Amid lingering smiles

And the silence of contentment

Moon casts its light

Sheen and shadows play

My heart all aflutter

Till the clock strikes time

Time seems compressed

And the distance enlarged again
