Bile and bitterness.
Age-old caustic complaints & complexes
Yielding frustration and rage.
Festering fissures erupt.
Into toxic words.
Vile, vitriolic venom.
Vicious, vengeful abuse.
Sarcasm, scorn and derision.
Sulphurous scars of yore
Opening wretched wounds anew.
Stick and stones may break bones.
But words break hearts
So as never to be mended again.
Powerful and so very true.

Great write so full of truth. There are scars of words that last longer than the physical wounds.

Yes, they do, they stay imprinted on the mind far after they stop ringing in the ears. Thanks so much!

The alliteration emphasises the deep and troubling emotions in this poem Kunal. Reminds me of troubled times I once had. Hope all is good.
