As I stand there in the silence
Something makes me glance up
Look to the heavens
Be captivated by the crescent
Marvel at the cosmos
And its unknown expanses
I cast an eye
Questioning, seeking
And a droplet finds its way down my cheek
To land on the ground, between my feet
I lower my gaze in wonder
At the connection between heaven and earth
