WITHDRAWAL

I clamp down
And in my shell sanctuary
Under a canopy
Into darkness
I withdraw

To find peace
From the noise

Solace, shelter and shade
From the harsh lights of the world

Purpose
Amid the ebb and flow

Silence
To contemplate and connect

Patience and grit
To transform into a luminescent pearl

  1. Beautiful pearls of wisdom. Reminded me of a line from Stephen Levine’s book:
detachment means letting go and nonattachment means simply letting be.

You write so well, always strikes a chord. 👌

      1. I was in Cape Town the other day in a cute boutique hotel and felt that reclusive solitude you write about so well. The kind that I would relish to write in or just be!
