Alvida*

Friendly pecks and light, gentle smacks,
There are kisses.

And there are kisses not meant to be.

Shy and stolen,
Breezy, bashful, brushes against the cheek,
Moist lips barely grazing soft, scented skin.

Full-on french kisses,
Lips locked, tongues darting and duelling.

Teasing nibbles on the ear
Between whispered words.

Sensuous ones on erogenous zones,
A precursor to things to come.

Kisses never meant to be.

As I lean forward
And kiss you one last time on your forehead
To wish you Godspeed.

* Farewell
