The Deliciousness of Words – 7

In continuation from earlier… here are some words which have struck a chord with me. I’m going to post them a couple at a time, with explanations, for you to savour.

And guys, feel free to contribute some more for me to compile, yes?>

This week, is it just me, or are there others who go this sequence at some social occasions? 🙂

Adronitis

(n) Frustration with how long it takes to get to know someone.

Monachopsis

(n) The subtle but persistent feeling of being out of place.

Rubatosis

(n) The unsettling awareness of your own heartbeat.

For those interested, here are the earlier ones in this series:

  1. Great post, hw can I use these in a poem??

the adrontis between us sets me on edge
I feel the uneasy distance of monachopsis
    unsettling and untamable
and so here I sit consumed
    in silence consumed by rubatosis
a prisoner to my inner self

  2. How about this for the deliciousness of words.? My take on one of the words 😊

    Adronitis

    Frilling the edges
    Foam rolling on the sands
Illusive to the grasp of my hands
    Stuck in cracks and wedges

    Impatiently ticking the time
    When will your layers fall?
    Softly heeding the unspoken call
When all that you are will be mine

      1. I’m well though still out of circulation. Not sure how delicious the word enforced is but most likely it’s for the good. Remember I had an addiction and that didn’t go well with other priorities I have but I dip in when I feel the withdrawal symptoms.

      2. Thank you Kunal. A path with tributaries for which I have yet to find the source. “Might be a good theme for my next poem”. 😀 Enjoy “living” – that’s what it’s all about.
Spring is soon upon us so I’m looking forward to the inspiration that it will bring and sprouting with it. Take care and see you soon!
