THE PEN & I

A monsoon cloud teasing a parched heart

A mirage oasis shimmering in a desert haze

A grand piano beckoning slender, talented fingers

A vast, empty field awaiting the freed hooves of a thoroughbred

A proboscis exploring open petals

A flint provoking a spark; embers awaiting a call to life

A mood-changing chameleon, unsure of the next colour

A dainty tendril waiting to clasp and wind itself around a support

A coy virgin; a seductress demanding instant gratification

A syringe of words waiting to infect me with their contagion

A woodpecker chiselling away; a squirrel burrowing away

A chefโ€™s knife peeling away onion skin by the layer to get to the very core

A seeing eye for the sightless; a looking glass turned inwards

A rosary; a set of manacles; an anchor; a freewheeling kite without string

Anย inseparable soulmate

Thank you so much and have a great day/night/wherever it is in the world for you right now (: Sending you love xx
