Thou Art Inspiration

Droplets of paint, a swirl of the brush
A foreign word, a turn of phrase
A lilting melody, a rhapsody brimming over with soulful lyrics
The colours of Nature, wordly delights
Brother Sol, the seasons
The wondrous Cosmos
Ponderous thoughts, the lightness of being
Endless expanses, flora and fauna
Exotic travels, journeys of the mind
Love and longing, sublime and divine
Experiences and expectations
A taste of ambrosia, a sensual evening
A meeting with the muse, unforgettable memories
The depravity of war, the debasement of religion
Him, her and the people around

In these I find the subject
In these I find inspiration
