The Shadow At Noon

I want to be the aeonian sun,
Not the evanescent breeze

I want to be the ephemeral aurora,
Not the transient eclipse.
The elysian glory of the rainbow,
Not the kalopsian greyness of mist.

I want to be the lasting memory,
Not a passing moment.
The imprint on the brain,
The reflection in the heart.

I want to be the dream you dream at dawn,
Not your shadow at noon.

  1. “I want to be the dream you dream at dawn, not your shadow at noon” Your closing lines killed me. Dreams at dawn are the dreams that are said to come true, no?
